Brides from across the country come to Angie Star Jewelry to design custom-made pieces that delightfully complements their ceremonies and the gowns. They give their bridesmaids the gift of beautiful jewelry that will go on to be a treasured part of their daily wardrobes.
We have earned a tremendous reputation, both for the pleasure of the experience and for the collections we create. With Angie Star, brides defy the common, machine-made jewelry that make others feel limited and frustrated.
Imagine an unlimited palette. Imagine having immediate access to an array of jewels, metals and design experience. When you work with our gallery, you slip on our expertise like a beautiful summer dress. Our clients revel in the unexpected chance to design!
Regardless of your budget, you will have special jewelry for your wedding day. How it works: The Angie Star artists meet with you to peruse current designs in our gallery and a portfolio of our past work. We assign to you the designer most appropriate to your vision. Anticipate that the initial meeting will take 30-40 minutes and bring with you a color swatch and cut of the dresses for which you are designing. We use these to match stones and pearls to your particular wedding colors.
Ideally we will have at least a month and a half to prepare your collection. However, depending on the design house’s current orders, three to four weeks could easily be enough. We work within the bounds of most any budget, and brides tell us again and again how much they enjoyed the chance to design their wedding jewelry!
Call or email us with inquiries. We are ready to answer any questions and can give reliable estimates over the phone. If you don’t live here, we have done great things with the phone and digital photos, pleasing women across the country.

Custom Bridal Jewelry Design
Boulder’s own Angie Star Jewelry is taking a national position and, in doing so, impacting a distinct industry, the bridal industry. Brides from across the country are coming to Colorado’s jewelry-design house for custom-made sets that complement the gowns and the tone of their ceremonies. Angie Star has given them ready access to materials and expertise they wouldn’t otherwise have. As a result, brides are defying the common, machine-made jewelry that makes others feel limited and frustrated.
Women in this region bring in swatches of fabric and photos of the dresses, to work one-on-one with the designer most suited to the style of their wedding. Remote brides-to-be receive the same service through personal conversations, digital images, and the gallery’s portfolio. Angie Star Jewelry is giving these women a new creative outlet, making it possible for them to design pieces that the bridesmaids are likely to wear for years after the ceremony.
"Since my engagement, I knew I wanted the jewelry for my wedding to be from Angie Star Jewelry,” said Claire Levitch of Atlanta, Georgia. “Beautiful quality, exquisite taste, stunning but understated, unique….
“Everyone at Angie Star was accommodating, friendly, and welcoming. They were so easy to work with, giving me time to ponder and figure out exactly what I wanted. I received so many compliments on my jewelry at the wedding. Even other wedding vendors recognized the work of Angie Star. I couldn't be happier!"
The gallery’s appeal is no doubt due to its array of styles, from show-stopping, avant-garde designs that complement this season’s runway, to uncommon everyday pieces, to graceful lifetime treasures. It features the work of six designers formally trained in the arts.
Word-of-mouth is quickly building the gallery’s reputation as one of the country’s popular jewelry designers. Jennifer Chan, of the San Francisco Bay area, recently received an Angie Star Jewelry original as a gift from her husband. The necklace is unlike the jewelry common to fashion stores, she said. The stones, the chain, and the drape are raw and modern—just the style that she’d expect to see and want to wear in San Francisco, she said.
“It’s very unique,” Chan said. “It pushes me to be more daring.”
Angie Star Jewelry is launching a new Web site this fall, with the support of another Boulder business, Cypher13. The site will give national clients a strong sense of what is currently being created by the Angie Star team, said Alex Henry, a principal at Cypher13. Clients become familiar with the artistic training and creative style of each designer. They can browse by style or artist, and the site functionality makes it possible for the company to keep its online presence as fresh as its Boulder gallery.
“We’re using Cypher13’s knowledge of the Web and technology to expand Angie Star Jewelry’s reach,” Henry said. “Through this medium, Angie Star is definitely as pro, sophisticated, and knowledgeable as any other company expressing their designs on the Web.”
Owner Angela Olsgard and her staff act on the belief that what people do in their daily lives affects others. Its participation is Boulder standards—like recycling and alternative energies—is magnified by Olsgard’s authentic kindness and her standards for social consciousness and professionalism.
Much of what U.S. consumers buy today is made in another part of the world, either by machines or often by people who aren’t paid a fair wage. In contrast, choosing designs from Angie Star Jewelry contributes to the success of a conscientious business, fuels the local economy and supports the livelihoods of dedicated artists.
One of the Angie Star Jewelry design lines uses recycled silver, and management is currently seeking a reliable source for recycled gold. The art of jewelry making calls upon the world’s natural resources, and historically the international trade market for precious metals and stones has not honored human rights, Olsgard points out.
“We consider it critical to reduce our impact by wasting nothing,” Olsgard said. “We recycle our unused gold fill and sterling (silver). We are committed to creating our art in as sustainable a process as it can be.”
