Faceted Larimar Hand-Knotted Silk Necklace | 16–17"
Some stones feel like they were made for the woman who finds them. Larimar is one of them.
This necklace is handcrafted in our Boulder studio — each bead individually hand-knotted onto natural silk, a technique as old as fine jewelry itself.
The knots keep the stones perfectly spaced, protect them from friction, and give the strand a supple, graceful drape against the skin. The adjustable clasp lets you wear it at 16" or 17", so it sits exactly where it feels right on any neckline.
The beads are faceted natural larimar, each one cut to catch light across its surface — pulling out the stone's full range of soft blues, seafoam greens, and cloudy whites. Because Larimar is entirely natural and never treated, no two strands are alike. The swirling patterns within each bead are formed by the stone itself, not by human hands.
Small batch. Sustainably made. Handmade in Boulder, Colorado.
Found only in the Dominican Republic, larimar is one of earth's rarest gemstones — born of volcanic fire yet reflecting the calm of Caribbean seas. Named in 1974 by combining a daughter's name, Larissa, and the Spanish word for sea, mar, it quickly captured the imagination of mystics and healers alike.
Long called the Stone of Atlantis, larimar is revered as a powerful symbol of the Divine Feminine — believed to encourage self-love, emotional healing, and clear communication. Worn near the throat, it's said to give women the courage to speak openly from the heart and honor their own natural rhythms.
